So this past week I've been really trying to decide on my final job to 75. I thought I was pretty set on RNG over BLU, but on really thinking about it, a challenger appeared: Paladin. Tanking was definitely what I loved most about this game, and to advance further as a tank / just be more flexible all around, levelling PLD seemed like an obvious choice, but, well, I was still undecided about it. That was until today, anyway.

We did Proto-Ultima tonight, and I really feel it was the smoothest Ultima fight we've ever had. Everyone was just right on the ball, doing their jobs to the best of their ability, and it was a lot of fun, too.

I finally got the chance to participate in the new level 8 Besieged the other night with some friends / LS mates. In the last patch they added HNMs Cerberus, Hydra and Khimaira to march in with their respective regions, which I thought would mean the same as the beastmen kings; they would only show if they were up outside Besieged. Apparently this is not the case! A BST-ish mob summons them like a jug pet, and they come out under a different name, but as far as I can tell they're definitely the same mobs from outside, same attacks, same strength, it's fun stuff!

20 people, 100 minutes including the lesser fights, and Kirin is down. :) I know the drops sucked, but this is a landmark step for us, and I'm proud to wear this linkshell now more than ever. Great job guys.

SB's been really busy these past 2 weeks, and so have I, between the game and school, but I'm finally sitting down to update. As you may have guessed by the lack of update, we didn't get Omega's Heart on that Omega run...



So yeah. :/ Congrats to Ayvaen on the boots, and Zelaris on the gloves. We did another Omega last night too, and again, no heart, I haven't kept an exact tally, but I guesstimate 0/20 at this point, something like that, man it sucks.

Apart from Limbus though, things have been going pretty well...

It's been a great couple weeks for us overall, and despite a few mishaps, we're going stronger than ever. I honestly thought I'd have to struggle to find stuff to update about regularly, but as I learned tonight, unsorted screenshots build up really fast, and become a pain in the ass to sort; in any case here's what we've been up to since I last posted.

Hmmm...when could I say it all began. Perhaps when I met a new group of friends 2 years ago? Or maybe one year ago, when I levelled my first job to 75. You could even say it started when I first started playing this game years ago, but eventually it led to me joining a few of the best HNMLS on the server, only to be severely disappointed by what they really were. A lot of the crap, the drama, I just wanted nothing to do with it; and so, after much talk and consideration, I broke off on my own to start my own linkshell.

The idea seemed completely absurd at first, starting my own HNMLS, where would I find the people? I would never resort to something ridiculous like shout-recruiting, or taking incompetent players just to beef up the roster. No...I would try a different approach. Perhaps large numbers weren't needed to do end game activities. I asked around, scraping up all I could, knowing that a good number of my friends (almost all of them) already had their own linkshells, and convincing them to randomly leave, and throw the dice on something like this, a brand new LS, with limited numbers...it didn't seem likely. But, with only 10 people or so, we went ahead with the plan.

All we needed was a name, and that ended up being a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. I thought up several cool/serious names, but a friend of mine made a good point that people take end game, and, well, the whole game in general, far too seriously. I jokingly said, "Well let's call ourselves 'SiriusBusiness' then," as mockery to the end-game atmosphere, and it stuck.

My character name is Akuma, I play on the Lakshmi server, and as of 2 months ago, I am the leader and founder of SiriusBusiness, an aspiring HNMLS built of good, skilled players, and close friends.
